Job summary

Eden Locke Edinburgh is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join Luqa, our in-house coffee shop and restaurant. You will welcome guests, take orders, serve coffee and food, and support daily operations with a proactive, friendly approach.

40 hours per week over 5 days, with shifts between 7am and 11pm. This role requires flexible availability, weekend work, and a passion for warm hospitality in a boutique hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Hospitality, F&B or customer service experience preferred.
• Barista experience desirable; training provided for the right person.
• Friendly, confident and professional communication.
• Able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Flexible to work across shifts between 7am and 11pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and providing friendly, attentive service.
• Preparing and serving coffee, drinks and food.
• Taking orders and handling payments accurately.
• Supporting the team with the day-to-day running of Luqa.
• Keeping the coffee shop and restaurant clean, tidy and inviting.
• Helping with opening and closing duties.
• Following food safety, health and safety and brand standards.
• Handling customer and guest requests with a positive, solution-focused approach.
• Supporting events and activations at Eden Locke.
• Working flexibly across the hotel and supporting colleagues when needed.
