Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting Associate Aircraft Mechanics to support the F-35 Lightning programme at RAF Marham, Norfolk. This 20-month contract offers hands-on aircraft maintenance and structural repair work within a regulated aviation environment.

You will perform metalworking, corrosion remediation and component repair, following approved documentation and airworthiness requirements to ensure aircraft availability and safety.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, manufacturing, engineering or maintenance environments.
• Experience with metalworking, corrosion remediation, or precision assembly.
• Experience using manual and pneumatic tooling.
• Understanding of adhesive bonding techniques.
• Experience drilling, reaming, and installing mechanical fasteners.

Responsibilities

• Carry out metalworking and corrosion remediation on structures and components.
• Prepare metallic and composite structures for repair.
• Perform drilling, reaming and structural assembly.
• Apply approved adhesive bonding techniques.
• Install and remove mechanical fasteners and hardware.
• Maintain maintenance documentation and records.
