Job summary

Olive Hill Primary Academy is seeking a Teaching and Learning Assistant for its Early Years Foundation Stage. This term-time role (32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks) supports teachers, plans and delivers activities, and records children's progress. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

The role involves close collaboration with staff, parents and carers to support learning, development and inclusive practice across the EYFS setting.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teachers to support children's learning, development and wellbeing
• Plan and deliver EYFS learning activities
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote learning and development
• Observe, assess and record children's progress
• Encourage children's social, emotional and personal development
• Help keep the learning environment safe, stimulating and inclusive
• Support children with varying needs, including SEND where appropriate
• Organise the classroom, prepare resources and maintain displays
• Promote positive behaviour and apply school policies and procedures
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers
