Job summary

Axcis Education are working with a mainstream primary school in Torbay, who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support in EYFS. This is initially a full time supply position, with a possibility it could become permanent (via a temp to perm).

The role is to start on 30th November 2026 at a Torbay-based school with a strong curriculum and values. The position offers full-time hours (8.45-3.15) with pay £92.75-£105 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be suitably qualified for the position advertised.
• Prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate suitability.
• Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.

• To support students on both a 1:1 basis and small group basis.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude, supporting with learning across the curriculum.
• Form positive relationships with all learners.
• Confidently establish consistent boundaries with children.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and pupils.
