Job summary

TimePlan Education Group is recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS) for a welcoming Stockport primary school. The role supports reception class with EAL/SEN needs, and offers a 100 per day pay, full-time, long-term contract and an immediate start. You will work alongside a supportive team to foster language, literacy and social development.

Experience in primary settings and a patient, adaptable attitude are valued. An enhanced DBS is preferred to begin trials as soon as possible.

Qualifications

Experience working in a primary school, nursery or early years setting.
Knowledge of the EYFS or Reception curriculum.
Experience supporting children with EAL and/or SEN.
Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Genuine passion for early childhood development.

Responsibilities

Supporting the class teacher with daily teaching and learning activities across the EYFS Reception curriculum.
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with EAL and SEN.
Encouraging children's communication, language development, social skills and independence.
Supporting phonics, early literacy, numeracy and play-based learning.
Helping create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
Supporting positive behaviour, emotional development and pupil engagement.
Working cohesively with the class teacher and wider school team.
