Job summary

Teach Now invites applications for an EYFS Teaching Assistant in Barnet (Nursery/Reception). You'll work with the class teacher, supporting individuals and small groups through play-based learning to help children develop early literacy, phonics and numeracy.

The role is full-time, long-term and term-time only, with hours 8:30am to 3:30pm. Daily pay ranges from £93 to £105 depending on qualifications and experience, and the school offers CPD opportunities and a welcoming, inclusive

Qualifications

• Experience in Nursery or Reception preferred.
• Solid understanding of EYFS principles and learning through play.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Support early literacy, phonics, numeracy and communication activities.
• Create engaging indoor and outdoor continuous provision.
• Encourage friendships, sharing, turn-taking and independence.
• Adapt support to different developmental needs including SEND and speech and language needs.
• Assist with routines, transitions, resources and personal care where required.
