Job summary

ChristChurch Primary School in Burton on Trent is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant for a fixed-term 1-year contract (to 21 July 2027). The role is 19.5 hours per week across Wed-Fri (6.5 hours per day). Grade 4 pro rata for term-time only.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
• Experience working with children with additional needs.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum and ability to adapt support to meet diverse pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Support learning in the classroom under guidance of teachers.
• Assist with planning, assessment and accurate recording of pupil progress.
• Provide pastoral support and assist with pupils’ personal needs and wellbeing.
• Supervise classes for short-term cover and accompany pupils on visits.
