Job summary

St George's Primary School, part of Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 (EYF) to support Early Years learners in Nursery. The role offers 32.5 hours per week during term time plus 5 training days, on a temporary contract through 31 August 2027.

You will work within a friendly Foundation Stage team, supporting children with diverse needs and making observations feeding into progress assessments to move learning forward with nurturing support.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in working with children with additional needs is essential.
• Able to make observations feeding into pupil progress assessments.
• We expect a dynamic, caring, and motivated team player.

Responsibilities

• Support learning in Nursery as part of the Foundation Stage team.
• Assist with tracking pupil progress and contribute to assessments.
• Interact with children to understand their learning needs and interests.
