Job summary

Hackney New Primary School in London is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (EYFS) to join our team on a permanent term-time contract. The role supports learning in EYFS, provides targeted interventions, and promotes inclusive education.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENDCo and the EYFS team to tailor support, foster independence and positive pupil relationships. Salary on NJC Scale 3 (£28,212.76 - £28,616.02) pro rata for term-time; 36.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning of pupils in EYFS enabling them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential.
• Make a direct impact on pupils' learning, wellbeing and inclusion by providing targeted support, delivering structured interventions and small group sessions and promoting positive engagement in school life.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, school leaders and the wider EYFS Team to ensure pupils receive high-quality support tailored to their needs.
