Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting EYFS Teaching Assistants for Early Years settings across Bury. The role supports children as they develop communication, language, confidence and early numeracy through structured activities and play-based learning.

You will work alongside experienced practitioners, building positive relationships in a busy classroom, with opportunities for day-to-day supply or longer-term placements and a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Previous Early Years experience is desirable, although candidates with nursery, childcare or relevant youth work experience may also be suitable.
• You should be patient, energetic and comfortable working in a busy classroom where children are learning through a combination of structured activities and exploration.

• Supporting children during play and structured learning
• Helping develop communication and language
• Supporting early phonics and literacy
• Encouraging early mathematical development
• Helping children develop independence
• Assisting with classroom routines
• Supporting children who require additional help
• Working closely with the class teacher
