Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Birkenhead on a part-time basis.

You'll support the class teacher, assist with learning through play and structured activities, help establish routines, and provide pastoral care. Previous EYFS or primary experience is preferred, and you should be confident, caring, and ready to hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting EYFS or primary pupils is preferred.
• Confident, caring and able to hit the ground running.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with children.

Responsibilities

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Birkenhead on a part-time basis.

This would suit someone with a genuine passion for Early Years who enjoys helping children settle, learn and develop through play and structured activities.

The role:

• EYFS Teaching Assistant
• Birkenhead
• Thursday & Friday
• Start date: late September / early October 2026
• Initial contract for approximately one term
• Supporting the class teacher and helping with learning, routines and pastoral carePrevious EYFS or primary school experience is preferred, along with someone who is confident, caring and able to hit the ground running.
