Job summary

Westmorland and Furness Council's Coniston CE Primary School is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a happy and successful team. The role is a 7-month fixed-term contract starting 5 January 2026, 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:50am to 3:20pm, working with Nursery and Reception pupils supporting the class teacher.

You will provide class support and run small-group activities under guidance, contributing to safeguarding and welfare expectations.

EYFS Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term Contract until 17th July 2026)

The Governors of Coniston CE Primary School are looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our happy and successful team. The appointment is from Monday 5th January 2026 and is for 27.5 hours a week, (Monday - Friday, 8.50am to 3.20pm). The post involves working in Class 1 with Nursery and Reception pupils and will involve class support and supporting small groups of pupils under the direction of the class teacher. The post will be a 7 month fixed term contract initially until 17th July 2026 but may extend beyond this depending upon the return of a staff member on maternity leave.
