Job summary

Academics are looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support across local primary schools and early years settings in the Worksop area on a temporary, supply basis.

Hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will assist with learning through play, personal care and transitions, supporting children’s social, emotional and educational development under the EYFS framework, with Enhanced DBS required or on Update Service.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2/3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with EYFS and safeguarding procedures preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

EYFS Teaching Assistant - Worksop

Academics, Education Agency, are currently recruiting an EYFS Teaching Assistant - Worksop to work on a temporary, supply basis across a variety of local primary schools and early years settings in the Worksop area.

Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, depending on school requirements.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting learning through play in line with the EYFS framework
• Assisting with personal care, routines, and transitions
• Supporting children's social, emotional, and educational development
• Working alongside the class teacher and wider EYFS team

In line with the latest Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements, applicants for this EYFS Teaching Assistant role must have:

• A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years or equivalent)
• A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• The ability to support positive behaviour and meet individual learning needs
• The ability to easily commute across Worksop

Paediatric First Aid training is desirable and may be required for certain settings.

• Pay rate: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications, inclusive of holiday pay
• Contract type: Temporary, supply-based role
