EYFS Teaching Assistant (1:1 / SEN & Personal Care Support)
Start Date: September 2025
Location: South Nottingham
Contract Type: Full-time Mon-Fri 8.30 am-4 pm
Contract Term: Supply
Salary: 90 - 110 per day
We are supporting a school that is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including personal care, within the Early Years setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young child's educational journey from September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN, ensuring they feel safe, included, and engaged.
  • Assist with daily routines, including feeding, toileting, and personal care needs.
  • Implement strategies outlined in the child's EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
  • Record observations and contribute to progress reviews.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and nurturing environment.
The Successful Candidate Will:
  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs and/or providing personal care.
  • Show empathy, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Be confident using strategies to manage behaviour and support learning.
