Job summary

Connex Education is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to work in Bridgwater and the surrounding primary schools. This role offers flexible day-to-day supply, longer-term placements, or ongoing work from September to suit your availability.

You will plan engaging lessons, support early years development, and build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff, while maintaining high safeguarding and behavioural standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching within an EYFS or primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early years curriculum.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities within EYFS.
• Create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
• Observe and assess children’s progress and adapt activities to meet their individual needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
• Encourage children’s curiosity, independence, and confidence.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support children’s learning and development.
