Job summary

Ripple Education is seeking an EYFS SEND Support Assistant for a primary school near Ashington. You will provide targeted support to children with additional needs across the EYFS, enabling them to learn, play and develop in a safe, inclusive environment.

Role involves individual and group support, collaboration with teachers and the SEN team, and safeguarding as a core responsibility. Immediate start offered on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working with Early Years children.
• Experience supporting children with SEND or transferable experience.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Patient, calm and compassionate approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining boundaries.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Sound safeguarding knowledge.
• Immediate full-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, small-group and classroom support within EYFS.
• Support learning, play, communication and development.
• Help children develop independence, confidence and social skills.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and support routines.
• Support communication, interaction and emotional regulation.
• Work with the class teacher, SENCO and others to promote inclusion.
• Safely follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.
