Ideal candidates will have experience with SEN, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a patient, empathetic approach. A safeguarding background is essential, with DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
• Empathy and Patience: A caring and empathetic approach to student support.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment: Dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or training in special education are a plus.
• Safeguarding: Understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
• Assist in creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students in developing social, emotional and academic skills.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Aid in maintaining a positive and orderly classroom environment.
