EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Easter 2025
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day
Contract Type: Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting young children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)? Are you seeking a flexible role that allows you to make a meaningful impact in young learners' lives? GSL Education is currently seeking a full-time EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to work within primary settings in Grantham.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the EYFS, including those with learning difficulties and complex needs.
  2. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement personalised learning and development plans.
  3. Assisting with the management of behaviour in the classroom, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
  4. Helping children access the curriculum and developing their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

Role Requirements:

  1. A qualification in Health and Social Care, Early Years Education, or a related field (Level 3 Diploma or equivalent).
  2. Experience working with young children with SEN, ideally within an EYFS or primary school setting.
  3. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  4. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting children's development.
  5. A DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please note that this role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants must pass the necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for a new one.
