Job summary

The Education Specialists are seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Liscard, Wallasey, teaching within the EYFS. This is a full-time, temporary role commencing in January and running until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging play-based learning, focusing on communication, early literacy, numeracy and social development while ensuring a smooth transition into Year 1. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is essential.
• Experience teaching Reception or in an Early Years setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework.
• Teach and manage a Reception class throughout the placement, balancing adult-led and child-initiated activities.
• Monitor progress using observations and assessments, identifying next steps for individual children.
