Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring a Qualified Nursery Practitioner in Margate. You’ll support children through play and daily routines, building confidence and curiosity. A Level 2 or 3 EY qualification (or QTS) is required, plus a passion for collaborative teamwork and safeguarding.

Working with a close-knit team in a calm, well-structured setting, you’ll help using EYFS principles, observe children’s progress, and engage families to support each child’s unique journey.

• Knowledge of EYFS and how children learn through play
• Ability to observe development and track progress
• Commitment to safeguarding and high standards of care
• Experience engaging with families and communities

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued
• Plan and deliver engaging play-based experiences aligned with EYFS
• Observe and record children’s development and plan next steps
• Build trusting relationships with families and communicate progress
• Support daily routines including meals, personal care and rest
• Collaborate with colleagues and support apprentices and volunteers
