Job summary

The school in Birmingham, West Midlands is seeking an EYFS Practitioner to join a leading independent preparatory setting for children aged 4 to 11. You will help create a nurturing, inclusive environment and work with the Early Years team to deliver engaging activities that spark curiosity and development.

This permanent full-time role requires a Level 3 Early Years qualification and Paediatric First Aid, with a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in delivering high-quality Early Years education.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
• Competent ICT skills and familiarity with classroom tech.
• Experience working in a similar early years setting.
• Experience volunteering with children is valued.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel valued and supported.
• Deliver engaging activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build strong relationships with children and families as partners in learning.
• Observe and contribute to assessments and learning journeys for each child.
• Prepare and maintain stimulating learning environments and resources.
• Support nursery routines, staffing ratios, lunchtimes and before/after care when required.
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all activities.
• Participate in wider school life and collaborative projects with the Early Years team.
