Job summary

YMCA North Tyneside in North Shields is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team. You will support the room lead, deliver engaging activities, and help young children develop and thrive in a caring EYFS environment.

You should hold a Level 3 childcare qualification, have strong communication with children and families, and share our commitment to safeguarding and inclusion. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with competitive terms.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification and a deep understanding of EYFS and Ofsted standards.
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• As Nursery Practitioner, you will deliver engaging activities and support planning to ensure high quality learning.
• Listen to children, value their views, and treat each child as an individual in line with EYFS.
• Communicate with parents and carers to share information about wellbeing and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to help the setting achieve an Outstanding OFSTED grade.
