Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking a Level 2 EYFS Practitioner to support a child with ASD on a one-to-one basis in a Lancaster nursery, from September 2026 to April 2027, 9:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The role focuses on encouraging communication, engagement and social interaction, while implementing strategies to support emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with nursery staff, SEN professionals and parents to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification.
• Experience supporting children with ASD and/or additional needs.
• Ability to manage behaviours that may challenge when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a child with ASD.
• Encourage communication, engagement and social interaction.
• Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with nursery staff, SEN professionals and parents/carers.
