Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries Limited in Saltford, Bristol, is seeking an experienced Early Years Supervisor to lead the room team and drive high-quality, child-centred education. You will support and develop staff while ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing for all children.

This role offers up to 40 hours per week with flexible full-time/part-time options and pathways for professional development within a collaborative nursery environment.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience within an Early Years setting.
• Strong understanding of child development, the EYFS framework, safeguarding and childcare legislation.
• Paediatric First Aid and Level 2 Safeguarding, or a willingness to obtain these.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Confidence supporting audits, room improvements and maintaining high standards.
• Proactive, professional and team-focused approach.
• Genuine passion for helping children develop and supporting colleagues to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support your room team to deliver outstanding care and education.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Support children's individual development, wellbeing and progress.
• Build strong, professional relationships with children, families, colleagues and external agencies.
• Monitor planning, assessments and room standards to promote positive outcomes.
• Coach, mentor and support colleagues through inductions, supervisions and day-to-day guidance.
• Support room improvements, audits and quality improvement activity.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork and continuous professional improvement.
