Abbey Catholic Primary School in Erdington is seeking a passionate EYFS Class Teacher to join our catholic, two-form entry primary school rooted in the Parish of St Thomas and Edmund.

This role includes an additional responsibility (TLR2a) for EYFS Leadership, offering an exciting opportunity to lead, inspire and drive improvement across the phase while upholding our distinctive Catholic ethos and strong community links.

Qualifications

• Passionate about early years education and the start of children's learning.
• Strong understanding of child development and EYFS pedagogy.
• Experience or aspiration to lead EYFS and drive standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences that inspire and support all children to achieve their full potential.
• Plan, teach, assess and adapt learning in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework, ensuring progress.
• Assess, record and report on children's attainment, progress and wellbeing, using assessment to inform provision.
• Create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity and independence.
• Lead and develop the EYFS, including curriculum design, monitoring standards and driving improvement (TLR2a).
• Ensure high-quality indoor and outdoor learning environments reflecting best practice.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, leaders and external agencies for best outcomes.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support learning and wellbeing.
• Contribute actively to the Catholic life and ethos and wider school community.
