Job summary

Bright Futures Educational Trust is seeking educators to plan and deliver courses and lessons, addressing individual pupils' needs and marking work. You will ensure curriculum coverage with progression for all pupils, including those with special educational needs.

You will promote pupil well-being, provide guidance on education and future careers, and maintain records and communicate progress to parents. Assessments and data-driven plans for improvement are expected.

Responsibilities

• Planning and preparing courses and lessons.
• Teaching pupils according to their educational needs, including setting and marking work.
• Curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in the subject for all pupils, including those with SEN.
• Promoting the progress and well‑being of individual pupils and of any class or group.
• Provide guidance on education, social matters, and future career pathways.
• Record and report on pupils’ personal and social needs.
• Communicate with parents regarding pupils’ progress.
• Provide oral and written assessments, reports and references.
• Set targets for achievement and evaluate progress for all pupils, including those with SEND.
• Use data to identify underachieving pupils and develop action plans.
