Job summary

Acorn Recruitment is hiring Production Technicians in Nottingham to join a specialist manufacturing team producing bespoke prescription eyewear. Training is provided and no optical experience is required, making it ideal for developing new technical skills.

Role involves assembling eyewear, following procedures, and maintaining quality in a technology-driven manufacturing setting with potential for ongoing work and temp-to-perm opportunities.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in technology, manufacturing or precision-based work.
• Good manual dexterity and enjoyment of hands-on tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to follow processes and instructions consistently.
• Good organisational skills and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work in a team.
• Confident communication skills and willingness to learn new skills.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and challenges.
• GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and work instructions to maintain high quality and accuracy.
• Assemble and process prescription eyewear using specialist equipment.
• Work within one of several specialist production areas.
• Complete production documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Report production, quality, health and safety concerns to the Line Leader or Shift Supervisor.
• Work to recognised quality standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and feedback.
