Job summary

Best Practice Network is seeking an experienced IQA/Assessor to ensure quality and consistency across EY SENCO provision. You will lead internal QA activities, observe teaching and learning, and build strong relationships with tutors, managers and support functions to drive learner success.

You will coordinate sampling, provide constructive feedback, and support development plans with leadership to meet contractual requirements, while ensuring safeguarding and equality commitments are upheld.

Qualifications

• Hold an Assessor qualification.
• Hold an IQA qualification (V1, D34, TAQA).
• Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge.
• Experience in assessing and quality assurance within education.
• Develop strong professional relationships with tutors, managers and support functions.
• Proficient IT skills across a range of software packages.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a supportive approach to systems.
• Hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel to customer sites.
• High motivation and initiative; understand learners' needs.
• Understand national developments in Education and apprenticeships sector.
• Able to contribute positively to a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance activities in line with IQA Strategy and awarding body requirements across the learner journey.
• Produce sampling plans based on risk and IQA strategy.
• Observe coaching, teaching, learning and assessment and provide timely feedback.
• Monitor assessment progress and provide feedback to tutors and mentors.
• Support Tutors to implement action plans to drive learner progression.
• Share best practice and participate in standardisation activities.
• Monitor learner progress and support completion of portfolios and targets.
• Conduct sample marking to ensure consistent outcomes and provide reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with Lead IQA and Head of EYSEN to develop staff development plans.
• Seek feedback and continually reflect on practice.
