Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a Production Operator for a rotating shift role in Baglan, Port Talbot. You will operate extrusion machinery and monitor production processes to meet quality targets.

This physically demanding role involves lifting up to 25 kg bags, standing for long periods, and completing production paperwork. Temporary to permanent after 12 weeks, with weekly pay. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating or production experience is desirable.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Physically capable of repetitive lifting and standing for long periods.
• Able to work in a warm manufacturing environment and follow safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion machinery.
• Load raw materials into production equipment.
• Lift and empty 25kg bags into the machine.
• Carry out routine quality checks on finished products.
• Monitor machine performance and report faults.
• Adjust machine settings as required.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
• Complete production paperwork and records accurately.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
