Job summary

Safran Nacelles is seeking an External Scheduling Manager in Burnley, UK. You will lead supplier scheduling, develop detailed schedules, and drive on-time delivery by managing supplier performance and recovery plans. Collaboration with internal teams and suppliers is essential to maintain supply continuity.

The role requires strong manufacturing supply chain experience, ERP/MRP2 knowledge, and leadership capabilities to guide a team and improve performance across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong supplier management experience and negotiation skills.
• MRP2 process knowledge and ERP/Supplier Portal proficiency.
• Ability to lead and develop a team with clear stakeholder communication.
• Experience managing delivery performance and recovery plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage the External Scheduling process for assigned suppliers.
• Develop and maintain detailed supplier schedules aligned with demand.
• Drive supplier performance against OTD targets and SLAs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify delivery risks and implement recovery plans.
• Monitor supplier capacity and performance to support production needs.
• Escalate issues promptly and build strong relationships with suppliers.
