Job summary

Safran Seats is seeking an External Supply Planner in Cwmbran, UK to execute ERP-based supply plans with external suppliers and ensure material availability for production. You will monitor risks, capacity constraints, and schedule adherence while coordinating with the External Supply Chain team and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP-driven material scheduling and ordering processes.
• Experience scheduling production materials in technically complex, regulated environments.
• Ability to track and mitigate supplier capacity and delivery risks.
• Knowledge of supply chain risk management and mitigation approaches.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret ERP outputs to create or adjust purchase orders and supplier schedules.
• Be the first point of contact with suppliers for daily operations and schedule changes.
• Assess supplier capacity vs forecast and identify bottlenecks early.
• Track On-Time Delivery and delivery quality; maintain performance dashboards.
• Collaborate with production planning, logistics and quality teams to align material plans with assembly needs.
• Maintain ERP planning parameters and analyze discrepancies for root cause.
• Suggest and participate in Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
