Job summary

Hayley Dexis is recruiting an External Sales Executive for our Sheffield branch. You will be on the road across South Yorkshire and Northeast Derbyshire, handling existing customers and targeting new opportunities. The role demands a proactive salesperson with an engineering or manufacturing mindset and a drive to close deals.

You’ll be driven, adaptable, and comfortable with autonomy. A company vehicle is provided, and training is available through Hayley Academy as part of ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Experience in external sales, with a track record of winning new business.
• Ability to approach customers confidently, including door-to-door when required.
• Strong IT proficiency and familiarity with CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Sell and grow external accounts across South Yorkshire and NE Derbyshire.

We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for an External Sales Executive working for our Sheffield Branch.

About the role:

You’ll be our full-time salesperson focusing on external sales. Expect to be out on the road across the South Yorkshire and Northeast Derbyshire geographies. You’ll be dealing with existing customers but really targeting new opportunities and new customers.

Our existing customer base is very diverse from engineering companies to food as well defence and steelworks.

You’ll have prior experience in sales ideally with some cross over to what we do i.e. engineering or manufacturing background.

You’ll be driven and excited to make that sale! If you are comfortable approaching customers, knocking on doors and thrive off making the smallest to the largest sales we want to hear from you!

Drive, enthusiasm, perseverance and persistence are the core of what we are looking for in this role and so we will consider a range of different experience levels.

What we’re looking for in our External Sales Executive:

• A good level of knowledge in the MRO space along with the products that we sell, although crossover experience will be considered.
• A high level of motivation and enthusiasm to drive sales.
• Good systems knowledge and IT skills
• Prior external sales experience.
• Confident communicator - not afraid to cold call cross industry.
• Thrive in a role where you are given a high level of autonomy and trusted to deliver and drive innovation.
• Strong interest in learning our product range / engineering
