Job summary

Morgan Stanley Glasgow is seeking an Associate for the External Reporting team. The role reports to a Director in Glasgow and will produce European statistical reporting while contributing to regulatory projects and process improvements.

The Disclosures team is part of the global External Reporting function, handling IFRS disclosures and European regulatory reporting. The role focuses on accuracy, controls, and continual enhancement of reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Experience of financial/regulatory reporting.
• Experience of working with large datasets.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to escalate when needed.
• Awareness of risk and ability to challenge processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Regulatory Balance Sheet-based external reporting.
• Prepare commentary and analysis to support reporting.
• Ensure production timetables are met; manage timelines.
• Troubleshoot data issues during quarterly production and escalate as needed.
• Respond to review questions on disclosures produced.
• Present disclosures and analytics to Finance Senior Management.
• Understand disclosure requirements and Morgan Stanley policies.
• Maintain written procedures and key controls.
