As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a skilled Bid Writer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing new contracts by crafting compelling and well-structured bids tailored to client needs.

Role Overview

As the Traffic Management Bid Writer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality proposals that align with client requirements and company objectives. You will be responsible for translating complex information into clear, engaging, and persuasive content, ensuring bids are submitted on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Bid Development: Write, edit, and proofread bid proposals for traffic managementprojects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and company goals.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with the sales, operations, and technical teams to gather the necessary information for each bid.
• Compliance: Ensure all proposals comply with client requirements, industry standards, and internal quality processes.
• Content Management: Maintain a library of reusable bid content, templates, and case studies for future use.
• Market Research: Conduct research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings to enhance bid strategies.
• Deadlines: Manage timelines and prioritise tasks to meet strict submission deadlines.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyse feedback from unsuccessful bids to refine and improve future submissions.

About You

You are a detail oriented and creative writer with a knack for persuasive communication. Your organisational skills, combined with your ability to work collaboratively, ensure you can meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in bid writing, ideally within traffic management, construction, or a similar industry.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to translate technical details into clear, engaging content.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and bid tracking tools is an advantage.

Remote Working - Based within North/South Regions.

Working Hours -Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 with 30minutes for lunch (40hrs per week).

Salary - £35,000 to £50,000 per annum (dependent of experience - to be discussed at interview).

The successful candidate would be subject to a 3month probationary period.
