We audit over £1 trillion of public expenditure and income, providing insights to improve public finances and manage risks.
Senior Audit Managers play a crucial role in delivering high-quality external audit work, managing engagement teams across various audits, especially in complex financial reporting areas. They lead audits for large government departments or multiple public organizations, motivating teams to deliver insightful and high-quality work that supports accountability and improvement.

We are looking for candidates who:
Experience in auditing entities involved in railway management, energy sectors, or eligibility to act as a Responsible Individual under the Companies Act 2006 is highly desirable.
The NAO is the UK's independent watchdog for public spending. Led by Gareth Davies, the Comptroller and Auditor General, we conduct audits and report on government financial accounts and value for money. Our work is overseen by the Public Accounts Commission.
