Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Leighton Hospital project in Crewe as part of the New Hospital Programme. This is a major £800million programme with IHP, a JV with VINCI Building, delivering a modern UK healthcare environment.

The role requires proven senior QS capability on large schemes, strong commercial acumen, and effective stakeholder management to drive cost control, value, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale, major projects.
• Experience within healthcare procure schemes with NEC contract experience is preferred.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management across all project stages, ensuring cost control and value optimisation.
• Procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and management of subcontract packages through to final account.
• Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
