Job description

JOB TITLE:

Export Coordinator

LOCATION:

Aylesford, Kent. Office based

WORKING HOURS:

8am - 4.30pm

A Bit About The Role

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for global logistics? We are looking for a dedicated Export Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing overseas shipping processes and ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in obtaining overseas export shipping quotes.
  • Analyse and compare quotes to encourage savings across the business.
  • Record shipping information on company systems to support logistical decisions and assist other departments.
  • Complete import/export customs documentation to ensure efficient and cost-effective procedures.
  • Monitor forwarder/haulier performance and volume uplift.
  • Support purchasing & customer care teams with ETAs for import/export consignments.
  • Maintain relationships with freight forwarders and overseas suppliers/customers.
  • Assist the international transport team with daily tasks and cover during holidays or sick leave.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in global freight and transportation methods.
  • Experience in freight forwarding preferred.
  • Knowledge of UK customs processes.
  • Negotiation skills for prices and services.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Commercial mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills.
