Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth invites undergraduates to join the Export Control team for a 12‑month internship. The role focuses on end-to-end export control processes across the satellite lifecycle, with robust compliance and UK/EU/International regulations guidance.

You will gain hands-on exposure, including classifications, documentation, and training material development, while collaborating with project managers and ECOs in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student for whole duration of placement.
• Degree in Business, Project Management or Data Analytics ongoing.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and effective communication required.
• Ability to handle confidential information and support projects.

Responsibilities

• Engage with export control regulations and assess compliance risks.
• Learn to classify export items and monitor restricted lists.
• Support project teams with export control advice from bid to licence.
• Contribute to policy, procedures and training materials on export controls.
• Create SharePoint content and training materials for business functions.
• Assist with trade compliance projects and monitor regulatory changes.
