You will contribute to ongoing research and development projects, explore new concepts for future quantum sensor systems, and work closely with physicists and engineers to achieve ambitious goals. The role emphasizes translating product needs into atomic-system designs, leading research projects, and integrating optical, mechanical, and electronic subsystems within quantum devices.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in experimental AMO physics.
• Experience manipulating atoms, ions, or molecules with light post-PhD.
• Familiar with optical, mechanical, and electronic design tools.
• Proficient in Python/C++/Rust or similar.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

• Translate product requirements into atomic system designs.
• Lead high-value research projects and coordinate experiments.
• Perform modelling, simulations, and analytical calculations for system design.
• Design and execute testing and verification plans.
• Integrate complex opto-mechanical systems, electronics, and software into quantum devices.

• Select materials and components to meet project specs.
