Who we’re looking for:
AVI-SPLs Experiential Fleet Operations Team is looking for a motivated technical expert in IT, Audio, Visual, Lighting, Control & Experiential Technologies.
The Fleet Operations team is made up of passionate Broadcast & Production Engineers, AV System Programmers, DevOps, Network and CorpOps Engineers with an innate passion for solving problems, designing systems and workflows on a global scale.
The ability to understand, interrogate and dive deep into technical systems remotely through network infrastructure will be an essential part of your day to day. A passion for collaboration, learning and development and a keen eye for detail are essential to be successful in this role.
What you’ll do:
An Experiential Fleet Operations Technician Tier 4 is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our clients Global Experiential and Event Production Fleet.
This role requires a strong technical background and proficiency in event technology, live streaming and broadcast technologies including IP based video, audio, control and lighting systems as well as IT system administration of Windows and Linux based systems and excellent comprehension of network protocols.
Key Role Responsibilities:
● Development and execution of proactive maintenance projects, configuration and documentation of broadcast streaming and experiential & event technology infrastructure.
● Resolution and root cause analysis of issues escalated from Tier 3 Incident/Response & Tier 2 Site Operations Teams.
● Identify patterns in technical issues escalated across the fleet and will proactively develop projects and deploy appropriate solutions globally to ensure consistent fleet operations.
● Utilize scripting to develop efficient methods to configure and deploy hardware and software infrastructures.
● Coordinate with partner services, client teams and SMEs to provide global support.
● Reporting impact or projected impact to team lead & stakeholders.
● Support experiential site operations as needed with projects and setup of various event or show elements as needed.
● Responsible for Development and maintenance of a knowledge base to support fleet operations for all tiers in the service.

● Technical expertise in:
○ Navigating and troubleshooting AVCL deployments on corporate network infrastructure.
○ General IT and high performance media on networks.
○ Management of our clients proprietary Cloud experience platform services.
○ Remote enrollment & configuration of Mac, Linux & Window fleet via UEM, SSH, VNC & Chrome Remote Desktop.
○ Monitoring stability of deployment infrastructure.
○ Platform and system administration.
○ Validation testing for newer interactive exhibit releases.
● Operating remotely and independently from the geographic locations of the fleet through network infrastructure, partner tier 2 services, dispatched field services, or other reasonably capable third parties.
● Flexibility to work after hours on occasion and weekends as needed to address urgent issues and support special projects.
Must Haves:
● Proficiency with Unix, Windows & Mac based operating based systems.
● Proficiency with online & event video production technologies.
○ Video encoding technology for live streaming
○ Ross video switchers or other industry standard solutions
● Familiarity with enterprise level network switches & routers.
○ Experience with IT & media network protocols, VLAN, QoS, IGMP Snooping.
● Knowledge of advanced signal flow for audio, video, lighting, network and control.
● Ability to create detailed documentation & project proposals.
● Flexibility to continuously teach and be taught new technologies and workflows.
● Ability to read and write line diagrams in technical design documents.
● Must be flexible to work after hours and weekends when required.

● Proficiency in scripting & automation processes
○ Bash, Python, Lua, Powershell, Applescript
● Experience with LED video walls & multi projector installations , including configuration and maintenance of both hardware and software.
● Experience with enterprise Cloud platforms, VMs running web services.
● Experience with web development, code & database management.
○ Javascript, SQL, Gerrit
● Experience with message brokers, federation and configuration.

Nice To Haves:
● Undergraduate degree or 4 years of related experience in IP based broadcast, live production, experiential, media technologies, networking or computer science.
● CTP (Certified Technical Professional)
