Job summary

Woodlands Home & Garden Group is seeking an Experienced Timber Machinist to join our timber mill team in Rodley, Leeds. The role involves producing accurately machined timber for our garden-building production, with emphasis on safety, quality and productivity. Permanent, full-time position with shift options 6:00am-2:30pm or 9:30am-6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Timber Machinist or Wood Machinist.
• Confidence setting and operating timber mill moulders.
• Good knowledge of timber, tooling and machining processes.
• Ability to work accurately from measurements and specifications.
• Strong awareness of machine safety.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate timber mill moulders.
• Select, fit and adjust tooling safely and accurately.
• Machine timber to the required measurements and profiles.
• Complete machine adjustments, product changeovers and routine checks.
• Inspect finished timber for quality and accuracy.
• Identify defects and resolve machining issues.
• Follow production plans and meet agreed output requirements.
• Keep the timber mill clean, organised and safe.
