Experienced Teaching Assistants – Special Needs Schools

Location: Sheffield
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract: Short-term & Long-term placements available
Start Date: Immediate & Ongoing / September starts available

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role in education? Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are a trusted education agency working with a variety of SEN schools that need dedicated Teaching Assistants for both short-term cover and long-term placements. Whether you’re looking for flexibility or a stepping stone to a permanent role, we have opportunities to suit your needs.

About the Role:
  1. Supporting students with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and complex needs
  2. Assisting teachers with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  3. Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students reach their potential
  4. Helping manage behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  5. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet individual student needs
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN setting
  2. A strong understanding of SEN and a passion for making a difference
  3. Patience, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  4. Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and student needs
  5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA qualification) are desirable but not essential
