Job Opportunity: Experienced Teaching Assistant

Location: Surbiton
Contract Type: Full Time
Salary: £89-100 a day, experience dependant
Start Date: Flexible (From April)

Are you an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of primary school children? Protocol is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team. If you have experience working in a primary school setting and a commitment to fostering the academic and personal development of young learners, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of all students.
  2. Provide one-on-one and small group support, particularly for students with additional learning needs.
  3. Encourage a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and motivated.
  4. Support the development of students' academic, social, and emotional skills.
  5. Assist with classroom management and behavior strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
  6. Contribute to the preparation and organization of classroom resources and materials.
  7. Work closely with the teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the well-being and success of every child.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school environment.
  2. Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and the ability to support a diverse range of learners.
  3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  4. Patience, flexibility, and a positive, proactive approach to challenges.
  5. A strong commitment to fostering a love of learning and helping children reach their full potential.
  6. A relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential.
  7. Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is a plus.
