Job summary

The Teaching Executives Ltd is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Chester and the Cheshire West area. This role focuses on supporting students one-to-one or in small groups, and assisting teachers with planning and documentation.

You will contribute to maintaining positive classroom behaviour and provide targeted support to children with SEND. Competitive pay, induction programs, and ongoing consultant-backed support are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant or equivalent teaching assistant qualification.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Good understanding of the British Curriculum.
• High standards of classroom practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students one to one or in small groups.
• Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks.
• Assisting teachers to plan learning activities and complete records.
• Supporting teachers in managing classroom behaviour.
• Supervising group activities.
• Providing support to children with SEND
• Clearing away materials and equipment after lessons
