This role involves finite element analysis, structuring design guidance, and managing projects across diverse industries like maritime and defence. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a STEM field and experience in structural analysis and composite design. Perform detailed finite element analysis of composite structures under extreme loads.

Create design guidance for the analysis of components.

Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 per annum

Location: Leatherhead or Bristol

Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‑Nash, time split between office and home.

We’re expanding to support many exciting new opportunities across industries like maritime, defence, renewables, and space. We’re looking for a composite specialist with experience in leading structural analysis projects.

Essential Qualifications

Experienced in the design, manufacturing or analysis of composite structures
Experienced in performing structural analysis on composites and/or metallic structures
A degree or PhD in a STEM (Science, technology, engineering or mathematics) subject
Experience with codes and standards

Beneficial but not essential

Experience with at least one of the major finite element analysis software packages
Experience with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
