Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking experienced nurses passionate about delivering care to oncology and haematology patients. This role provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills in a collaborative environment while ensuring high-quality patient care across several specialized wards.
We are looking for enthusiastic, confident, dynamic, and motivated experienced nurses with excellent communication skills and experience with oncology and haematology patients who contribute to maintaining the highest standards of care while demonstrating effective leadership and providing support.
You are expected to provide ongoing care for Oncology and Haematology patients (including Sickle Cell) in our inpatient wards Olive and Hazel, which will transfer to Hawthorn Ward when the new ward opens. You will work with the wider multidisciplinary team supporting patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and supportive care.
We are seeking nurses wishing to develop their leadership skills and join us on this exciting journey in caring for our Haematology Oncology patients.
All applicants must have NMC registration, with ideally some experience in Haematology Oncology.
This ward is part of a larger portfolio of Cancer and Sickle Cell wards, requiring a highly skilled workforce. Staff will need experience caring for patients with cancer or sickle cell disease. Training will be provided for administering chemotherapy and other treatments.
Hawthorn Ward is a 15-bed inpatient ward, and Olive and Hazel are joint wards with 26 beds, delivering specialist inpatient care for patients with cancer and blood malignancies.
