Job summary

mbi Medical Ltd is inviting applications for roles within our Assessment and Child Protection Service. Successful candidates will conduct assessments and investigations into child protection concerns, including statutory assessments that involve home visits and collaboration with professionals and agencies.

The role offers a supportive learning environment with training opportunities; ACP social workers are expected to be in the office roughly one week in every five.

Qualifications

• Experience as an ACP social worker or similar role.
• Experience with statutory assessments and child protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments and investigations relating to child protection.
• Carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals and agencies, gathering information and analysing risk.
• Prepare cases for transfer to Long Term Locality Teams.

Job description

We now have opportunities to join our Assessment and Child Protection Service (ACP) with some fantastic benefits. The ACP team undertake assessments and investigations of any issues relating to child protection.

The service is provided by Experienced Social Workers, who carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals / practitioners and agencies, gathering information for the assessment and analyzing the potential risk to any child or young person. After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the Long Term Locality Teams.

If successful, you will receive free parking on campus, a permit for local visits, in addition to up to £100 weekly expenses for travel/accommodation. You have access to training and a supportive, learning environment. Our ACP social workers are expected to be in the office 1 week out 5.
