Cheshire East Council (CEC) is looking for experienced and self-motivated Grade 9 Social Workers to join our innovative and friendly Adult Front Line Community Contact Team in the East
You must be able to undertake person centred and strengths-based assessments within a community setting, with the aim of improving client outcomes for the residents of Cheshire East. Additionally, this post will provide a wide range of learning and training opportunities and includes integrated working across the Health and Social Care sector. The Contact team is a busy team where all referrals come into the Adult Social Care Teams, including safeguarding, self-neglect, carer breakdown, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol concerns and mental health issues. The Candidate must be able to manage to work autonomously and deal with pressure. They should also be considerate of the Prevent, Reduce, Delay process and work with other professionals to maintain independence and increase health and well-being. This is short term work, and the candidates need to be able to work under pressure.
The Adult Community Teams are part of the wider Care Community Partnerships with GP’s, Matrons, Mental Health services, Housing and voluntary sector services as they take a collaborative approach to supporting people within its footprint. The vacancy exists in the East of the Council, so includes Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Poynton and Knutsford.
