We have an excellent opportunity for an Experienced Social Worker to join Change Grow Live, providing complex case coordination at our Lewisham Service. This role will act as an expert advisor to the team, providing advice and consultation on risk, safeguarding, self-neglect, domestic abuse, and complex needs. You will facilitate the development of team and individual knowledge and skills, reflective practice, and service improvement.
Location: Lewisham
Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £37,184.90 - £44,471.72 (dependent on experience, pro rata for part time)
Allowance: £4,133.14 Inner London Weighting
Contract: Fixed term ending 31st March 2026
Responsibilities
About the role:
- Hold a case load of relevant service users in order to support the needs of the service.
- Coach and develop the team to work with challenging service user groups where there are complex issues related to substance misuse, domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation, criminal justice, children, families, caring responsibilities, mental health and/or behavioural issues.
- Be an expert advisor providing advice and consultation to the team on issues such as risk, safeguarding, social care links, substance misuse, domestic abuse, self-neglect, child sexual exploitation, and complex and multiple needs, through delivering bespoke training, workshops, and bitesize learning.
- Develop and formalise effective working relationships and robust pathways with key partner agencies including local statutory sector adult and child social care services, ensuring joint working agreements are reviewed and updated regularly.
- Contribute to the support, learning and development of social work students on placement and newly qualified social workers undertaking their ASYE programme.
- Undertake all administrative duties relating to the social work function in a timely manner, including writing reports, case records and correspondence in line with CGL and Social Services guidelines and policy.
- Fulfil the role of or work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead contributing to the safety and well-being of service users, families, and communities.
About you:
- Hold a valid qualification in Social Work and be registered with the regulatory body.
- Experience and knowledge on the working practice of Safeguarding Children and Adults
- The ability to work effectively with a range of issues including, drug and alcohol issues, criminal justice, mental health, domestic abuse.
- Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives.
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills. A high degree of personal IT competency, and the ability to accurately record statistics for data purposes.
- The ability to liaise and work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and agencies.
