Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board seeks an experienced Prosthetist to join the Crystal Palace team, delivering high-quality prosthetic care within an NHS MDT. You will design, fit, and adjust devices, while mentoring students and contributing to service development.

The role requires HCPC registration, a relevant MSc or clinical qualification, and experience in fast-paced clinical settings with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics & Orthotics or equivalent.
• HCPC registered.
• Relevant MSc or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical area.
• Practice educator training.
• BAPO member.
• ISPO member.
• Interpersonal and formal/informal communication skills.
• Experience in MDT clinical environment.
• Experience mentoring students or staff.
• Experience handling complex cases and prioritising workload.

Responsibilities

• Deliver autonomous, patient-centred prosthetic care.
• Design, fit and adjust devices across routine and moderately complex cases.
• Support student and apprentice placements and training.
• Contribute to audits, service evaluations and research activities.
